Arrests in immigration raid at Fareham restaurant

THREE men were arrested in an immigration raid at a restaurant.

Home Office immigration enforcement went to Indian Cottage, in West Street, Fareham on Friday at 6pm.

Four Bangladeshi nationals were found to be overstaying visas.

Two men, 32 and 39, were arrested and held in immigration removal pending removal from the country.

Another man, 26, was escorted from the restaurant as he has an immigration appeal.

The owner faces a penalty of up to £20,000 per worker.
