Play equipment worth £7,000 has been destroyed in an arson attack at a school in Waterlooville.

Police revealed today that officers were called to the Waterloo School in Warfield Avenue at 9.38pm last Sunday.

A police spokesman said: ‘The suspected arson attack caused up to £7,000 of damage to children’s play equipment.

‘An appeal is being made for information or witnesses to any suspicious behaviour in the area between 9pm and 9.45pm on Sunday May 19, 2013.
