THE brother of Ashya King has made a heartfelt video thanking everyone their support as the family seek to be reunited with the seriously-ill five-year-old.

Naveed, 20, has posted a video on YouTube thanking those who have put their name to a petition calling for the Prime Minister to intervene and ensure Ashya’s parents can seek alternative treatment for the boy’s brain tumour.

They are currently in police custody awaiting the news over whether a European Arrest Warrant issued for their arrest will be dropped or not.

A review of Ashya’s wardship order that makes Portsmouth City Council his legal guardian during the situation is being heard this afternoon.

But Naveed said more still needs to be done to ensure Ashya’s family are together again.

‘We really need to get high powers involved,’ he said.

‘As far as I am aware, Nick Clegg and David Cameron are involved...but we need a big push to get my parents back with Ashya.’
