THREE people, including two from Chichester, have been arrested following an attack on a man.

Police were called to Cobham Close, in Yapton, near Arundel, West Sussex, at about 6.25pm on Monday to reports that a man was being beaten up.

The victim, from Yapton, suffered facial injuries and was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, for treatment. He was discharged yesterday morning.

A 27-year-old male suspect, from Chichester, was treated at Worthing Hospital for minor injuries before being released into police custody.

He and an 18-year-old, also from Chichester, have been arrested on suspicion of affray. A 29-year-old, from Yapton, was arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the fight or has any information which could help police with their inquiries.
