A CARER was unable to get to work after criminals broke her garage lock.

Rita Reed, found that someone had attempted to break into her garage in Great Copse Drive, Leigh Park, overnight.

Mrs Reed said: ‘I was trying to go to work, but I found that someone had destroyed the lock trying to get in, and failed, so no-one else could get in either.

‘They’ve got nothing and I’ve got all this trouble instead. I couldn’t get to work, someone else had to go in my place and I had to spend my morning sorting everything out.’

The damage was caused between about 9pm on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday.
