A CAMPAIGN raising greater awareness of domestic violence in Portsmouth has been praised by councillors.

The Safer Portsmouth Partnership, which seeks to reduce crime in the city, launched a drive earlier in the year informing victims how they can get help.

Posters were put up in schools and colleges and messages sent out on social media. The initiative is to be repeated later in the year.
