A MAN arrested on suspicion of murdering a care home worker has been granted a further period of bail.

The body of 44-year-old Debbie Levey was found at Cherry Tree Cottage on the B2178 in East Ashling, a village between Emsworth and Chichester, by a colleague on January 28.

A 45-year-old man from Selsey arrested the same evening was known to Ms Levey.

Sussex Police said he had been rebailed until June 4 while full forensic reports were being assessed.

Ms Levey, who was described by her father John Etherton as ‘a most caring and compassionate person’, worked at the Leaholme care home in Chichester as a care scheme manager.
