DRINK-DRIVER Barry Watson has been banned from the roads.

Watson, 25, from Puffin Walk, Cowplain, had denied committing the offence while driving a Vauxhall Astra in Napier Road, Waterlooville.

But he was found guilty of the charge and of driving the car without a valid licence by Fareham magistrates.

A test revealed his breath contained 47 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Watson was told to do 160 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for three years and told to pay £415.
