A MAN caught driving in Portsmouth while unfit through drink has been banned getting behind the wheel.

Kenneth Austin, of Queen Street, Landport, Portsmouth, had denied the offence in North Street, Portsmouth.

However Austin was found guilty of committing the offence on September 19 at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Austin, 63, was fined £210 and ordered to pay £21 to a fund for victims of crime.

He was ordered to pay £200 in court costs.

Austin was also banned from driving for a 12 months.
