THIEVES stole eight beehives from a farm.

The £500 handmade hives were taken from a farm in Purbrook Heath Road, Purbrook, between February 25 and 27. Police say it would have taken more than one person to remove them.

PC Jon Radcliffe said owners should make sure their hives are as identifiable as possible.
