TWO benches were stolen from a back garden while the owners were on holiday.

A white wooden and a metal bench were taken from a house in Frog Lane, Titchfield, which has a garden that backs on to the River Meon.

Both benches were heavy and it is suspected that a vehicle was used or that more than one person took them in the theft between July 29 and August 13.

PC Sam Crouchman said: ‘If out walking in the area or along the river please be mindful of anything you feel looks suspicious. If you come across any similar bench please call us on 101.’
