A TEENAGE boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a home in Gosport.
The 16-year-old, from Gosport, is currently being quizzed by detectives and is in custody.
Hampshire police were called to Southcroft Road on Monday at 5.30pm.
Specialist police are supporting the 54-year-old man's next of kin, police said.
Neighbours have said a cordon is in place at a bungalow in the road, with a police van present in the street.
A police spokeswoman said: 'Formal identification procedures are ongoing.
'A 16-year-old boy, from Gosport, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
'There will be a lot of police activity in the area as our investigations into the exact circumstances of the death continue.
'We understand that there will be concern among residents within the neighbourhood but we would like to reassure you that at this stage this is being treated as an isolated incident.
'Our officers will be in the area so please speak to them if you have any concerns.’
