BREAKING NEWS: Fire crews mobilised to Southampton Airport as plane comes in to land

Crews from across the county, including some from Cosham and Fareham have been mobilised as a ‘precautionary measure’, a spokeswoman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

It comes amid unconfirmed reports of that an airplane coming in to land at the airport has an issue.

The News has approached Southampton Airport for further comment but were unavailable at this time.

The firefighters from our area are understood to be on standby at Southampton-based stations while firefighters from the city head to the airport.
