A THIEF broke into a home through a back door.

The burglary happened at a home between 8.10am and 8.45pm in Church Path, Gosport.

It took place on Thursday, October 3 but police have only now released details of the break-in.

PC Barry Martin, of Fareham police station, said: ‘The property was left in an untidy mess.

‘I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the burglary, or who remembers seeing or hearing anyone acting suspiciously in the area last Thursday to contact me.

‘Please remember to secure all ground floor or accessible windows and doors.’

A photo and frame was stolen. Call police on 101.
