A BURGLAR tricked a pensioner into giving out her bank details over the phone after earlier stealing her purse.
The con-artist then used her pin number to withdraw money from a LloydsTSB cashpoint in The Square, Bishop’s Waltham.
The offender entered a home in Dean Lane, Winchester, between 9am and 3pm on Wednesday and took the 92-year-old victim’s purse. They later phoned the victim and managed to impersonate someone from her bank to obtain her pin.
At around 3.20pm that day, the offender used the cashpoint to take cash from the victim’s account.
PC Graham Wren, said: ‘I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in Bishop’s Waltham at around 3.20pm on the day of the offence.’
