POLICE are warning people to be extra careful in the warm weather, reminding them to lock doors and windows.

It comes as there have been three reports of houses being broken into in the past ten days in Gosport.

The burglaries are happening in the Seafield estate of Gosport, to the south of the Asda store on Dock Road.

Entry to the homes was gained as a result of doors and windows being left unlocked. The offences are being committed overnight.

Police are carrying out patrols in the area and residents are reminded to ensure their property is kept secure at all times.

They are asking people to report any suspicious activity to 101. If people suspect a crime is about to be committed, they should call police on 999.
