MOTORIST Peter Delbridge was caught drink-driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

The 46-year-old, from Hill Place, Bursledon, pleaded guilty to driving a Range Rover in Botley Road, Park Gate, after drinking too much on June 3.

A test revealed his breath contained 90 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Delbridge was fined £300 by Fareham magistrates.

He was told to pay £85 in court costs and £15 to a fund for victims of crime.

Magistrates also banned him from driving for 22 months.

The ban could be reduced by 167 days if he pays to complete a government-approved driving course by August 8, 2012.
