Detectives have released these CCTV images after a 12-year-old boy was robbed at Gunwharf Quays.

As reported in The News, he was walking to the cinema with a friend, a 13-year-old boy, when he was approached by an older boy who’s accused of threatening to attack him if he did not hand over money. The victim gave him £13.

The robbery took place outside Burger King between 4.45pm and 5.15pm on Friday, July 29, 2011. The suspect was with a group of youths near a Subway sandwich shop.

Investigating officer Detective Constable David Anderson said: ‘There would have been many people around at a busy time of day. It’s likely somebody would have seen the group of youths.’

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
