A PAIR who allegedly stole a car in Warsash and then set fire to it have appeared in court.

Nicholas Beevis, 36, of Lisbon Road, Southampton and Michael Symmonds, 45, of Green Rollestone Copse, Rollestone Road, Holbury, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court charged with taking without an owners consent and arson.

The case was adjourned until Monday, September 16.

Beevis and Symmonds have yet to enter formal pleas on either charge.
