FORTY vehicles have been broken into in just a month, police have revealed.

The incidents happened between October 7 and November 6 in Gosport.

Cash and sat navs were among the possessions taken in the overnight thefts.

Hampshire police are now warning people to be vigilant and to lock their cars.

Most of the incidents happened in Alverstoke and Privett, with some in the town area and Alver Valley.
