Care home worker jailed for 10 years for raping Fareham pensioner

George Foca, 36, admitted raping the resident of a Fareham residential care home in October last year.

Health care assistant Foca, of Somers Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to the offence.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Samantha Hockley said: ‘The length of the sentence sends a clear message that the courts take sexual offences like this very seriously.

‘I hope that Foca’s admission of guilt provides the victim and their family some amount of closure for this traumatic experience.

‘I’d also like to thank the care home involved and their staff who assisted our investigation.’

Foca was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
