THIEVES smashed their way into a house and made off with computers and cash.

Police are seeking witnesses to the break-in, in Milton Road, Waterlooville, which happened on May 5 between 7.30am and 6.45pm.

The householders arrived home to find someone had smashed a window to the lounge and got into the house.

They rummaged through the family’s possessions and took a Playstation 3, an Acer 7000 series laptop, cash, private documents, an Xbox 360, a Nintendo DS, an iPhone, and a credit card.

PC Nick Wisdom said: ‘This is a burglary that has taken place during the day time on a busy road. A number of bulky items have been taken including up to approximately £700 worth of coins.

‘Police are appealing for anyone who may have heard anything – or seen anyone carrying bags and the stolen items leaving the scene, or in the nearby area – to get in touch.’
