AN APPEAL has been made to help catch a man suspected of stealing bicycles from Hampshire train stations.

British Transport Police have released CCTV images of a man suspected of stealing six bikes from stations including Fareham and Swanwick between April and June.

Detective Sergeant Sarah White said: ‘The circumstances are very similar in all these thefts.

‘The owners secured their bikes with locks in racks at the station and when they returned, they were gone.

‘I believe all six bikes were stolen by the same person, and I am determined to catch them. I want to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured, or has any more information.’

Anyone with information should call the British Transport Police on 0800 405 040.
