CCTV released after burglars threaten Portsmouth worker with crowbar

Thieves left empty-handed after threatening a worker with a crowbar.

Police have released CCTV images of men they want to speak to after the burglary at Hopelake Foods, in Fitzherbert Spur, Farlington, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Between 1am and 1.50am two men went into the building and tried to break into the safe.

'The men were disturbed by a member of staff and left empty-handed, after threatening the worker with a crowbar,' a Hampshire police spokeswoman said.

No-one was injured.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw two men running from Fitzherbert Spur, in the area of Waterworks Road, Second Avenue or Hardy Road, at the time of the incident.
