CCTV released after woman sexually assaulted in Portsmouth

The woman, 22, left Popworld at about 2.30am and walked along Guildhall Walk before meeting an unknown man.

They walked off together, walking south along Guildhall Walk.

Three hours later at 5.30am the woman was found in Earlsdon Street at 5.30am.

A Hampshire police statement said: 'The incident is believed to have happened sometime between 2.30am and 5.30am on July 23, in Sackville Street, Southsea.'

The statement added: 'It is believed she was sexually assaulted in bin sheds near Stratford House, Sackville Street.

'The man in the CCTV may be able to help us with our enquiries.

'If this is you, or you know the man, please call police on 101 quoting 44160274501.'

The incident happened on July 23.
