A MAN has been charged with a public order offence and possession of a bladed article.

Gareth Tennant, 32, of Elizabeth Road in Fratton, Portsmouth, was arrested on Tuesday, November 26.

It comes after police were called to Lower Street in Haslemere, after reports of a public order offence just before 3pm.

A man was found there who was violent towards police and was also found to be in possession of a bladed article.

He is due to appear at South West Surrey Magistrates Court in Guildford on December 10.
