A CARER has been cleared of allegations he sexually assaulted a young disabled boy he was looking after.

Daniel Lee, of Woodgreen Avenue, Havant, had two charges of sexual activity with a child dropped at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday.

The decision by the Crown Prosecution Service to drop the charges came after a jury was unable to reach a verdict on the charges. Mr Lee had always maintained his innocence. The jury also took two-and-a-half hours to clear him of four counts of child cruelty.
