A MAN has been given a suspended sentence for making and possessing indecent images of a child.

Leo MacDonald, 24, of Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea, was sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court after facing 12 counts of making indecent images of a child and five counts of possessing indecent images of a child.

He pleaded guilty to all counts on July 21.

MacDonald was ordered by a judge to spend 21 months in prison, which was suspended for two years, on the condition that he be supervised and undertake a programme.

MacDonald will go on to a sex offenders’ register for 10 years. He was also ordered to pay £500 in costs.
