TWO men have been arrested following raids on three houses in Chichester

Just before 11am on Tuesday officers entered properties in St Agnes Place, Osbourne Road and Charles Avenue after obtaining search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They were issued in connection with information about suspected heroin and crack cocaine dealing.

As a result of the raids, officers headed to Portfield Retail Park where they recovered a quantity of suspected Class A drugs from a BMW car. Two men were arrested.

Inspector Will Rolls said: ‘Drug dealing isn’t a major problem in the Chichester district, but where we receive any information about dealing or possession, we will respond swiftly.

‘Our aim is to disrupt the dealers and make the city and surrounding areas a hostile place for them and people trying to buy illegal drugs.

‘If you have any information that could help us please call 101 or talk to the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’

A 47-year-old man from Selsey and a 41-year-old man from Croydon were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They were bailed to July 10 and 12 respectively.
