POMPEY goalkeeper Stephen Henderson was pelted with coins and a bottle during the derby day match against Saints.

The 23-year-old said he had the cash and a glass whiskey bottle hurled at him by visiting fans during the crunch clash at Fratton Park.

After Sunday’s 1-1 draw, Henderson tweeted to his 2,004 followers on social networking site Twitter: ‘They threw money and a glass bottle of whiskey at me for who’s asking..#verykindofthem ;).’

A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said the force was aware of the incident - but is not investigating at this stage. She said: ‘The police area aware of a number of things being thrown onto the pitch. We are not investigating at this stage but we are in contact with the club.’

Portsmouth Football Club said it was not investigating any incidents in relation to the derby day match.
