COMPUTER equipment worth thousands of pounds was taken in Portsmouth during a break-in.

Police believe the thieves cut through a fence, before crossing a railway line, and then broke into the Acorn Business Centre in Northarbour Road, Portsmouth.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Christopher Dinenage of Portsmouth CID said: ‘CCTV is now available showing suspects who are thought to have cut a fence before crossing the railway line from Medina Road at Cosham, and breaking into the building.

‘They have then escaped back across the railway line and through a children’s play area onto Medina Road.

‘We want to hear from anyone who recognises the suspects in this CCTV – or if you saw and heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the burglary.’

The incident took place on Wednesday, June 26, at 12.15am.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to contact DC Dinenage at Fratton Police Station by phoning 101.
