POLICE have charged a man over an attempted off-licence robbery.

An assistant at Grande Wines, in Nyewood Lane, Bognor, was threatened by a man with a knife on Tuesday. She refused to handover cash and he ran off.

Hubert Muszynski, 24, of Glamis Street, Bognor, appeared at Worthing Magistrates Court yesterday charged with the attempted robbery.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on January 4.
