n Richard Edgington, 55, of Finchdean Gardens, Union Road, Portsmouth, admitted assault by beating in Southsea.

He committed the offence on May 13 and was fined £20.

He must pay £100 compensation, a £30 victim charge and £100 prosecution costs.

n Patrick Breen, 29, of Austerberry Way, Gosport, was found guilty of having cocaine, a class A drug on July 1 at Portsmouth Central police station.

He was fined £60 with a £30 victim surcharge to pay.

Magistrates ordered the drugs be destroyed.

n Domonic Davis, 22, of Queens Road, Portsmouth, admitted burglary of an address in St Michael’s Road, Portsmouth, on May 11.

He also admitted assault by beating against a woman at Frankie and Benny’s restaurant in Whiteley on May 22. Magistrates imposed a community order with 30 days of rehabilitation activities.

n Lee Collinson, 49, of no fixed address, admitted assault by beating at Morrisons in Anchorage Park, Portsmouth, on October 5.

He must pay £50 compensation. Collinson also admitted stealing £25.68 worth of food from the shop but received no separate penalty.

n Jason Evans, 22, of Rownhams Road, Southampton, admitted assault by beating against a man in Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth, on October 1.

He also admitted assaulting a PC on the same day.

Magistrates imposed an 18-month conditional discharge with £20 victim surcharge and £100 prosecution costs.

n Carolyn Spragg, 49, of Wingfield Street, Portsmouth, admitted theft of a Fila watch and two make-up brush sets worth £75.96.

Spragg also admitted seven other thefts and breaching a community order for five thefts, and two attempted thefts.

She received a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months with 26 days of rehabilitation activities.

Spragg must pay £120 compensation between the various stores.

n Mohamad Ali, 35, of Quinton Close, Somers Town, was found guilty of assault against a woman on June 7.

He was fined £65 with a £30 victim surcharge and £620 prosecution costs.

n Oliver Frettsome, 26, of Park Lane, Bedhampton, was jailed for four weeks.

He admitted four thefts across Portsmouth.

Frettsome stole a gazebo worth £99 from Homebase at Ocean Park on August 2.

He stole two Karcher washers worth £488.87 from the same store on June 2.

He also stole an electric toothbrush worth £280 from Boots in Westbury Mall, Fareham, on September 14.

And he took food worth £19.50 from Marks and Spencer in Portchester on September 12.

He must pay £887.37 compensation.
