n Paul Blake, 51, of Quinton Close, Somers Town, admitted two thefts and an attempted theft.

He stole £65 of sweets from Co-op on May 20 in Southsea, and meat worth £30 from Iceland on April 30.

Blake attempted to take £100 of chocolate from Co-op. Magistrates ordered him to pay £165 compensation and imposed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for a year.

n Kevin Snelling, 37, of no fixed address, admitted breaching a restraining order by being in the presence of a woman in Sainsbury’s Broadcut on October 19.

Magistrates jailed him for 28 days.

n Lacey Absalom, 22, of no fixed address, admitted theft of meat worth £64.16 from Morrisons in Gosport on November 9.

Magistrates jailed her for eight weeks.

She must pay a £115 victim surcharge.

n Clinton Holley, 36, of Passfield Walk, West Leigh, admitted theft of clothes worth £425 from Debenhams in Portsmouth on October 19.

He also admitted stealing jeans worth £340 from the shop on October 11, and more jeans from the same shop on October 18.

Magistrates jailed him for 20 days for each offence consecutively, making 60 days in total.

He also admitted failing to surrender to custody on November 3 but received no separate penalty.

n Jason Street, 40, of Anson Close, Gosport, admitted using violence to enter premises in Findon Road, Gosport, on July 31.

Magistrates imposed a community order with 25 days of rehabilitation activities.

He must complete 50 hours of unpaid work.

Street must pay £85 prosecution costs.

He also admitted criminal damage to a mobile phone on the same day.

n Mark Carter, 38, of Warwick Road, Ealing, admitted possession of cannabis, a class B drug in Waterlooville on September 6.

Magistrates fined him £215 with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs. The bench ordered the drug must be forfeited and destroyed.

n Charlee Frost, 30, of Browning Avenue, Paulsgrove, admitted theft of alcohol and two chocolate bars worth £5.48 from One Stop in Fareham on November 25.

She was jailed for eight weeks as she has a long record of similar offences.
