He was caught driving an Audi A3.

A test revealed he had 102 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the 35mg legal limit.

Magistrates banned him from driving for 23 months.

He was given a community order with 70 hours of unpaid work to complete.

Bartholomew must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

He also admitted taking the same vehicle without consent, driving it without insurance and driving without a licence.

n Danny Gattrell, 29, of Kingfisher Close, Wecock Farm, has been jailed for 14 weeks.

He admitted assault by beating against a woman on July 3 in Guildhall Square and was jailed for 12 weeks for that offence.

He received an additional two-week sentence after admitting failing to surrender to custody.

Gattrell must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Tate Welch, 21, of Bondfields Crescent, Havant, admitted attempted theft of a campervan and possession of a knuckle duster, an offensive weapon.

Magistrates imposed a community order with a six-week electronically tagged curfew.

He must stay at home between 8pm and 5am each day. Welch must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £50 prosecution costs.

Magistrates ordered the knuckle duster be forfeited and destroyed.

n Anthony Bryant, 55, of Talbot Road, Southsea, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements and was jailed for 14 days.

He behaved in a way that undermined the rehabilitative purpose of the supervision.

n Sean Clements, 51, of HMP Thetford, was jailed for 60 days after admitting assault by beating against a man on March 4 in Fareham.

He used a weapon in a licensed premises on a man who was working.

n Karol Sokol, 32, of Duncan Road, Southsea, admitted drink-driving.

He was caught driving a Ford Ka in Duncan Road on August 30.

Magistrates fined him £250 with a £25 victim surcharge.

He was banned from driving for 24 months.

n Christopher Tolfrey, 26, of Warwick Crescent, Southsea, admitted possession of cannabis, a class B drug on August 27 in Kingscote Road, Cosham.

Magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge. He must pay a £20 victim surcharge.
