n Simon Dewane, 30, of Farm House Close, Fareham, admitted driving while disqualified in Plymouth Drive, Fareham, on May 25.

He was handed an eight-week prison term suspended for 12 months, 60 hours unpaid work.

He must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs. Magistrates banned him for 16 months.

n Paul Burnett, 20, of Keith Close, Gosport, was found guilty of assault by beating on November 29 last year in Gosport.

He was sentenced to 20 weeks of detention in a young offenders’ institution.

Burnett must pay £100 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge.

n Melanie Pocock, 30, of Ham Lane, Gosport, admitted stealing alcohol worth £258.42 from Co-op.

She was jailed for seven days for the Marc 3 offence in Fareham.

n Neil Goldsmith, 31, of Wych Lane, Gosport, admitted driving without third party insurance.

He was caught on November 3 in Gosport driving a BMW. He was fined £660 with six points imposed on his licence.

Goldsmith must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £150 prosecution costs.

n Martyn Willis, 31, of Firgrove Lane, North Boarhunt, admitted assault by beating.

Magistrates imposed a community order with 20 days of a thinking skills programme and 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

He must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Aden Miles, 24, of Heckfield Close, Havant, admitted two counts of assault by beating in Portsmouth on June 4.

He was fined £100 for each assault.

n Andrea Pickersgill, 36, of Priorsdean Crescent, Havant, admitted using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises in Dunsbury Way in Havant on February 16.

Magistrates imposed a two-year conditional discharge.

n Rebecca Hayes, 32, of Milton Road, Milton, admitted stealing an Apple iPhone worth £250 in Portsmouth on June 4.
