Dainty was banned from driving for 24 months and given a community order.

He must complete a drink-impaired drivers course for 14 days and rehabilitation activities for 10 days.

Dainty must complete 80 hours of unpaid work, and pay a £60 victim surcharge and £620 prosecution costs.

n Corrina Gilson, 49, of London Road, Purbrook, admitted drink-driving and was fined £180.

Magistrates banned her for 18 months and told her to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

She was caught in London Road, Purbrook, on April 3.

A test showed she had 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly double the 35mcg legal limit.

n Thomas Ovenden, 26, of Billy Lawn Avenue, Havant, admitted stealing Yankee candles worth £65.97 from a garden centre on March 28.

He must pay £65.97 compensation.

n Kirsty Joughin, 29, of St Stephen’s Road, Buckland, admitted failing to promptly notify Portsmouth City Council that she and her partner were receiving additional cash from employment, and that affected her housing entitlement.

She committed the offence between April 1 in 2013 and July 5 in 2015.

Joughin also admitted over the same period failing to notify of the same change in circumstance that would affect her council tax reduction.

Magistrates imposed a community order with a four-month electronic tag and curfew.

She must pay a £60 victim surcharge.

n Oliver Burrow, 36, of Gains Road, Southsea, admitted criminal damage to items at an address in Linden Way, Horndean, on March 3.

Burrow also admitted assaulting a man on the same day.

And he admitted an assault by beating on the same man.

Magistrates handed him a community order with 20 days of rehabilitation activities and 50 hours unpaid work.

He must pay £500 compensation and £250 prosecution costs.

n Justin Fixter, 39, of Milton Road, Milton, admitted one count of theft at Fratton train station.

He took a Mars bar, Snickers bar, a carton of Ribena and a bottle of Naked smoothie from the Pumpkin cafe.

Fixter was fined £40 for the offence on March 2.

He also admitted breaching a previous three-month conditional discharge for theft.

Magistrates decided to take no action on the breach.
