A NEW plan setting out how to tackle crime has been published by the police commissioner.
Simon Hayes, Hampshire’s police and crime commissioner, launched his updated Police and Crime Plan.
In it he prioritises improving front-line policing, supporting victims and witnesses, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, and reducing reoffending.
He said: ‘The 2015 update presents a timely opportunity to showcase all that has been achieved since I have been in office.
‘The plan reiterates my vision, commitment and priorities for policing and community safety across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to protect people and places.’
He added: ‘My vision is to improve community safety and cut crime and reoffending across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight by enabling social change across all our communities.’
Mr Hayes is up for election next year.
