BURGLARS smashed their way into a convenience shop to steal cigarettes.

The break-in happened at the McColl’s shop in Locks Heath shopping village.

The burglary was discovered in the early hours of yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said force was used and ‘an unknown quantity’ of cigarettes were taken.
