JEWELLERY thief Maxine Bennett has been ordered to stay in at night.

Bennett, from Swanmore Road, Havant, pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing jewellery from a couple in Havant.

The stolen jewels are worth £3,800.

The 20-year-old was given a community order stating that she must not leave her home between 7pm and 7am for a total of four months.

Her curfew will be monitored with an electronic tag.

Portsmouth magistrates ordered Bennett to pay £85 in court costs. No order for compensation was made.
