A MAN who stole a woman’s purse has been ordered to stay in at night.

Clayton Forrest pinched the purse from a customer at the Danny Mart in Ludlow Road, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth.

The 29-year-old took £5 before dumping the purse. Forrest, of Blackwater Close, Cosham, admitted theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He has to stay at home between 7pm and 7am for a month, wear a tag to make sure he sticks to the curfew and pay £25 in compensation.
