A WOMAN who stole children’s clothes from Mothercare has been ordered to stay in at night under a curfew.

Kim Johnson took £40 worth of clothing from the store in Commercial Road, Landport, on January 19.

The 24-year-old also stole £70 worth of clothes from the nearby Next store on the same day.

At the time Johnson had a community order after being convicted of another shoplifting offence.

Johnson, of Buckingham Green, Landport, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft.

She will have to wear an electronic tag and stay at home between 9pm and 8am everyday for three weeks. Johnson was also told to go on a Thinking Skills programme.

No compensation was awarded because the stolen goods were recovered.
