A CYCLIST was robbed of his bike in a late-night attack.

The victim was riding his £600 bicycle in Haslemere Road in Southsea when the robber struck.

The biker had slowed down due to an oncoming car near the Pretoria Road junction.

The robber then pulled the man off the bike and cycled away along Pretoria Road towards St Augustine Road at about 10.45pm on Monday.

The bike is a Kona ‘Jake’ push bike, made up as a racer. It is mostly grey coloured, with black and blue. It has the name ‘Keira’ on the frame in blue writing.

There was a bag on the bike containing a Sony DVD player, Skullcandy headphones and a pair of waterproof trousers.

The robber had dark hair and was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

Detective Constable James Garrett said: ‘The bike which was stolen is a distinctive looking bike.

‘I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident.’
