Cyclist suffers serious face injuries after crashing into car

Police are trying to trace a driver after a cyclist suffered serious injuries to his face when he crashed into a car.

The 50-year-old was riding along Northern Parade, Hilsea, when he was passed by a Peugeot 206.

The police said it was then that the cyclist crashed into a parked car.

It happened between 10.20pm and 11pm near the Oakwood Road junction on October 14.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘Officers would like to speak to the driver of the car, as they may have information which may assist with the investigation into the exact circumstances of the collision.

‘Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101, quoting 44160389169, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’
