Joyce Crouthers, of Honeysuckle Close, went missing from her home at around 4.50pm.

The 75-year-old has dementia and has not taken her medication with her so her family are concerned she may be confused and may not know where she is.

Her daughter, Julie Bean said: ‘I just want her home - she is very precious to us all.

‘Mum can get very confused. She gets frightened when she goes outside, she does not like the dark or public transport.

‘If someone sees her, Mum is really friendly with people. She’s very smiley, but sometimes can look vacant when she’s confused.

‘If you do see her, take the time to stop and make sure she is ok before calling the police.

‘She loves her family and loves her house.

‘She would not go out intentionally to go away from us. We are really concerned that she has disappeared.’

Joyce is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, very short, brown hair and is likely to be wearing dark clothing and carrying a small, dark handbag.

Inspector Mark Lamper said: ‘Like her family, we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

‘We would urge everyone to take a minute to look at her picture and the description.

‘If you see her out and about please make sure she is ok and contact us as soon as possible.’

Please ring 101 if you have any information on Joyce’s location.
