Death of young girl on Isle of Wight investigated as murder

THE death of a young girl is being treated as murder after her father was found hanged, police said.

Detectives said a post mortem examination of Darren Flux-Edmonds, 44, found his death was by ligature suspension.

A post mortem examination of his six-year-old daughter Keziah Flux-Edmonds was undetermined and further tests will be carried out.

Her death is being treated as murder and police are investigating on behalf of the coroner.

They were found at a home in East Cowes on Wednesday.

The father’s death is not being treated as suspicious by detectives.

Detective Inspector Simon Baker said: ‘We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and our specialist officers are continuing to support family members.’
