Detectives looking into seven linked burglaries

SEVEN burglaries and criminal damage at sweet stall are being investigated by police after a vandalism spree.

Three boys from Southsea aged 15, 16 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and have now been bailed.

The News revealed yesterday Milton Village Hall, in Milton Road, Moorhouse News, in Meon Road, and Norman’s Antiques in Cromwell Road, Milton, had all been targeted.

But Hampshire police have now revealed further incidents under investigation.

They are:

n Burglary at Priory School in Fawcett Road, Southsea; nothing was taken.

n Criminal damage to a sweet stall at Esplanade, Eastney.

n Burglary at Milton Park Garage, Eastney Road, Eastney; unknown if anything was taken.

n Burglary at The Pyramids in Clarence Parade, Southsea; unknown if anything stolen.

n Burglary at Rutherford Solicitors, in Milton Road, Milton; nothing stolen.

On Wednesday workers at Moorhouse News were shocked to find a smashed window after the thieves broke in and stole charity tins and scratch cards.
