A RARE bike was stolen by thieves who cut through a steel cable and removed it from a lamp post.

It was stolen on Sunday, September 1 between 4pm and 8.30pm from Redlands Lane, Fareham.

The bike is a dark red with Nakita written in silver.

It is only available to buy in Austria, and holds sentimental value to the 17-year-old owner.

Hampshire Constabulary advised cyclists to invest in a D-lock, to look out for the Solid Secure logo on approved locks and have their bikes marked, registering the details online at immobilise.com.

Anyone with any information about the theft should call 101.
