A WOMAN whose dog was out of control in public has been ordered to pay compensation.

Karen Hanlon, 36, from Sydney Road, Gosport, admitted being in charge of the dog when it was out of control in Cherque Way, Lee-on-the-Solent on September 9.

No-one was hurt in the incident.

Hanlon was ordered to keep the dog muzzled and on a lead when in public by Fareham magistrates.

Hanlon was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and £50 costs.
