Drink-driver banned by magistrates

DRINK-DRIVING Kevin Richards has been banned from the roads for 18 months.

The 52-year-old of Russell Road, Nottingham, was caught at the ferry port in Portsmouth in George Byng Way.

He was driving a Mercedes Sprinter on October 6.

A test revealed he had 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, nearly double the 35mg legal limit.

Portsmouth magistrates fined him £100 with a £30 victim surcharge and £85 to pay to the Crown Prosecution Service.
